Living In Cremona

Cremona is a healthy, active and safe place to raise a family. The beauty of Alberta's west country is exactly what retired folks look for, a community full of activities, safety, and relaxation. The Cremona School is part of the Chinook's Edge School Division and includes Grades ECS through 12.

Cremona has very nice recreational facilities, including a curling rink, hockey rink, and ball diamonds.

Cremona Nature Trail

The Cremona Nature Trail is reclaimed CP rail line and features both natural wetlands and landscaped park areas. The Cremona Beautification Committee created the park near the nature trail and the flower beds along Railway Avenue. Anniversary park is located at the north end of the Village and is a beautiful and peaceful green space.

Cremona Municipal Library

The Cremona Municipal Library was established in 1975. The first library was located in a very small room above the General Store. The library began with a collection of books donated from community members and a staff composed of local volunteers. The library later joined the Parkland Regional Library system, and in 1980 it became a Municipal Library. The library includes a Community Access Centre, which provides public internet and computer access.

Some services the library has offered are: Summer Reading Program, Book Club, Story Hour, interlibrary loans, The Alberta Library (TAL) cards, large print books, a digital audio reader for the print disabled, photocopier, and scanner.
